Most aftermarket torque converters only use 6 bolts. ATS torque converters sometimes have holes for 12 bolts total. We HIGHLY recommend the use of RED loctite when installing these bolts. At a minimum, BLUE loctite should be used.

Most convertor companies send a small tube of red. I personally use red just to be on the safe side. Make sure to you ptfe or a teflon paste on the flexplate bolts with the blue or red loctite.
